I'm sorry for the 'Game of Thrones' sounding name on this picture but that's exactly what I was thinking when I painted this picture based on a photo that I took with my new camera. The light was hitting the trees in the back like they were liquid fire. The trees in the forefront were typical winter colors of darker grays and greens. To offset all of this, I used a texture that included a rich cranberry to give some contrast to the painting. I will upload the original photo and link it here:
