"The Jade Protector of the Goddess rests upon her milky bosom. His ever vigilant eyes scan the night sky for danger. The dark side of the moon is never fully realized because it is shrouded in the veil of mystery."


I will say right now, I'm not very good at drawing anything but horses but I took a crack at this because I was feeling sad today and my emotions enabled me to paint this digitally. I particularly like the eyes. They are bold and stand out. I admit that I'm also no good at anatomy or shading so I know the proportions are messed up and so is the moon. Well, I gave it my best shot and had a lot of fun drawing this and listening to Owl City, my favorite band. This painting was inspired by an article from CNN that I have sourced below. I never knew this legend until I saw the news feed.  I have also sourced Wikipedia if you want to know more about the legend for reference.

I did look at an image of a rabbit to draw it that I found on Google images. There was no way I was drawing one from memory.

PS: I have an H shaped scar from a rabbit on my finger.
